There sure are alot of stupid people out there. It has nothing to do with race! For me it has something to do with the unconditional love that i have for my 8 year old. I value his feelings and thoughts,befor mine. Who are we to say whats normal??? It's all about him beeing comfortable in his home. All i can do is be there for him,love him,and dry his eyes when one of the other kids who werent raised with love pick on him and call him names,because of their DUMB parents.But let me guess its him?

i think they overlooked the original issue -- more boys are getting toy kitchens as presents. i dont think that being in the kitchen is a female thing, and if we are going to equate being in the kitchen with being 'female' whether that be biologically or perceptually female then we are taking a huge step backwards. in today's fast-paced society women are taking charge of themselves, their jobs, their finances, and their education the same way men do, so as a result, both genders should be taking responsibility in the kitchen. and this is not only because of female empowerment, but also because males need to do this for themselves in their own homes before they are married, since the age at which we get married nowadays is much older than before. Men need to learn to take care of themselves just like women

Their "rough times" don't always translate over to other races/sexualities/genders, etc, and the results of a history of "rough times" are not the same. Minorities cannot simply be lumped into one large group of people who have had "rough times." Their situations need to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the varying struggles and viewpoints of the oppressed and the oppressors.

It's okay I just get really angry about it b/c I have issues, hopefully reversable, thanks to mental/physical/what I think doctors would consider psycological abuse when I was a kid. Some kids get it really bad from their ignorant parents when they simply want to play a little house & dressup. It's not fun when you're on the receiving end of the abuse, concerning sexuality or not, no kid should have to suffer from their own parents for being themselves.

I would never lump all minorities together. If that's how my comment came off, I apologize. But at the same time, that feeling of being discriminated against or hated for being different is a feeling that transcends gender, race and sexuality. Fear and hatred are universal feelings that only vary by degree of passion. My point was that as an African-American Woman, particularly one in the entertainment industry, Sherri should be more sympathetic to others' struggles.
