He motivated them to fight because he would withhold "protection" from their villages if they wouldn't assist him. I'm sure I could "out flank" and "enemy outpost" too Hmonks. Why you ask? Because an "enemy outpost" is like a garrison...it doesn't move. I think you need to read The Art of War
by Sun Tzu before you embarrass yourself.

Let's be frank here. It was the catalyst that caused many, many outcomes. People would have eventually fled either way, would you agree? Let's not fall on the notion that VP led a flock of sheep out of tyranny and led them to a promised land. If you respect him, then that's your choice. Since he brought people here, per your statement, why isn't he supporting and directing them in a safe manner to prosperity? At the end, it's you're own battle for your success. VP has NOTHING to do with it.

We can look at history all day long and revisit his options. Fine, done. BUT, given today's events, the question remains. WHY did VP have to get back into the mix? This is the issue. Why today? Why now? Why not shut his yap and just enjoy life, versus being obsessed with this pseudo-military thing, right?
History is over with. Today's choices were conciously made. VP ALWAYS has a choice. Let's not lose that perspective.
