In YouTube there is a huge amount of videos dedicated to the great GREEK Olympic winner PYRROS DIMAS. With a great surprise I saw that in a lot of those videos there are Albanian users claiming that he is Albanian. A lot of them praise him as their hero others accuse him as a traitor sold for Greek money. But none of them was interested to hear what HE HAS TO SAY ABOUT HIS ORIGINS. In this interview Pyrros talks about his Greek descend, his childhood years and the difficulties he faced because he is Greek when his family moved to Tirana with a prime example the nickname the Albanians gave him "GRECO MASCARA", but also about the support of his father that encouraged him to be proud of his GREEK identity. He also talks about the beginning of his career, the path to glory, and his lust for return to motherland Greece. What more can I say let's leave Pyrros himself talk about his life and make our conclusions.

What land of yours idiot, you mean the greek land Turks put you there. Don't forget that greek army re-took Northern Epirus 2 or 3 times (in balkan wars and in ww2) but big powers didn't let us to keep , as we should. So, who are the losers? Some fighters you are. In 1878 do you expect 100% agreement right away? In the end they did and fought the Turks, Serbs and Montenegrin. If Turks guaranteed the border, that would have been best, we had no modern weapons and few in numbers. We fought alone, while in you revolution you watched Albanians fight on both sides with the West helping.

You shouldn't talk about assimilations. Zog and Hoxha were trying to assimilate everyone in Northern Epirus (the majority were greeks), and in a point they managed it. You still try to assimilate the 300.000 Greeks there and you are calling them traitors, GrecoMascaras etc and do not accept their right to be what they are (The same case with Pirros). Greeks didn't assimilate anyone, while your dictactors did this to many thousands of greeks.

I really don't see Albanians as ever being "martial race" and all these delusional things you are trying to put as your 'trademark'. All i see is excuses and myths. The truth is one, Greece was liberated by Greeks (with a little help from big powers) all over the greek mainland that fought for their lands. You were just not strong enough to liberate yourselves like greeks did, that's the painful truth. It is at least funny to claim "you" liberated greece.

LOL then you admit he is not an Albo (something more than obvious) but you complain despite non-Albanian he didn't compete with Albania in olympics and gained Greek citizenship? Sorry to burst your bubble,but whoever lives in Albania isn't automatically Albanian ,there are more than 110.000 Greeks there (including Pirros Dimas), and other minorities who are not obligated to have only Albanian nationality, but if they chose to, to contribute to their original countries and have dual citizenship
