In those days,ethnicity,geographic belonging,langiage,religion were not clear cut defined as today.
In Republic of Macedonia people simply identify with being slavophonic Macedonians by ETHNICITY.That is what Greece fears and what is in the essence of the imagined conflics-it's about the Greek slavophonic Macedonoans.
