Hi!
We are due to arrive in Troulos on 27 July for our annual holiday. So pleased to see your video - we have been unable to obtain information from anyone in the UK! Can you give us some idea of what Troulos is like? How severe is the damage? Be grateful for any info. (We'll buy you a beer!).

do you know by any chance which apartments were affected in aghia paraskevi? were due to fly out a week on wed like we do every year. cant seem to find whether our apartments have been affected, travel co. is useless as can be expected!!

i know that the atrium hotel is gutted. A couple of houses also but nothing major other than foliage. Seriously holidaymakers you have nothing to worry about!

nice vid. you should get a job as a reporter. i was in skiathos for a week before the fire and coudl see a fire on the mainland. some friends of mine got stuck on a beach somewhere for a bit i heard during the fires.

Well done for your video. We left the day before it happened. We stayed at the Magic. Can you help as a dog lover and tell us whether the dogs are back at the Sanctuary? We walked every day a lovely hound called Neilo who was a Bleu De Gascoigne and we have applied to give him a home. I am concerned about his welfare. How did you get to live on this lovely Island?

Nope. The mossies are still out in force. I happen to be severely allergic to a specific species of mosquito.. Right now I have 6 citronella nightlights burning, a mossie incense spiral, and 2 anti-mosquito plugins on the go; And I still have to sit here with a can of Raid next to me..
Im convinced this island is being used to boost the worldwide mossie population.. But then its my own fault for living next to what was once a swamp..

cheers for that, will try, when the wind is howling and the snow is falling I can cheer myself up with images of skiathos, saying that u must miss the rotten uk weather? not!!
bet its weird in the winter, must admit prefer the spring there, dont like too many tourists.. and love the weather and flowers then.. Ill stop waffling cheers cu jilly
