I am against hate, wars etc... but we all need to face the facts. Wars have been happening since the dawn of man. One tribe goes and attacks another, takes their land/resources and grows. No matter how much people say "there should be no wars" there will always be wars. The only way to stop a war, is to fight and win. I do agree with you that wars cause wars, but if anybody knows a way to end war, tell me and I'll join you and your group to help.

Wiggum, do you realize that guns have helped to both create and protect our sovereignty as a nation? Maybe you'd like to explain how we could've ever defeated Nazism, Fascism, and the Soviet Union without weapons, or how you expect to defeat Jihadism without weapons? Oh, I know! Hmm...it's kind of hard to steal land from people who didn't believe in ownership of land in the first place. And last I checked, the Spanish massacred Indians long before the Pilgrims landed. They should be grateful that the English came, because let's face it, their culture was strikingly undeveloped. They never built any lasting significant structures. They were essentially nomadic war tribes.

Sorry, but "you're wrong" (quote the song). Not ALL wars have been over religion. There have been wars over political and social ideologies many, many times. Now, I know that (probably) the majority of wars have been over religion, but look at the US civil war, or what's going-on in France. Also, the attacks on Iraq/afghanistan have nothing to do with religion, just politics and oil (my opinion). Religious zealots may try and steal the war for their cause, but we all now that it's not true.

Arguably, even to this very day. So, the fundamental cause of the extremely large majority of war has been differences in religious ideology.

You haven't anger me one bit, man. I'm not religious in the slightest. I'm actually pretty disgusted in the state of religiosity here in America and worldwide. We have far too many people who hold their religious texts to be the inerrant "word of god". It divides the masses and we all know the old saying united we stand, divided we fall. Don't take my criticisms too seriously but DO try to remember that religious dogma is, and always has been, the bane of mankind. Peace
