I thought this was going to be a dull movie. Boy was I wrong. This was INTENSE.
Denzel Washington's portrayal of one of the scariest (in the sense that this is actually someone you could get entangled with...) characters I've ever seen was absolutely electrifying. It was also intense philosophically... Nietzsche once said that to kill a monster you have to become one yoursel
f - a choice between justice and loosing one's soul. Was Nietzsche right? The movie gives a credible answer...

Heat first and foremost is directed by Michael Mann, enough said. Second, take a look at the cast. Damn, I am rolling with the preponderance today. Besides the action, it covers the lives of the crooks and their crook problems well. Two colossals sat down in a diner knowing good as well the other man was but a hair trigger away from smoking the other. Exchange of how life should be and could be, and in the end they walk separate ways peacefully only to later meet in battle. Godlike scene.

Love this movie. The ending was a bit of a let down, but it remains one of my favourite films to date. Denzel owned.
