I always thought it was that too. Or "pout". It probably is fall (because of the Canadian accent?) but I had this theory: At the end of Stadiums and Shrines, they always play the ending to "They took a vote and said no", and that song talks about voting, and he doesn't sing that line in the recorded version of the song, so I figured it was vote because Spencer Krug seems like he'd have intricate complex ways of connecting his songs. I don't know.

That was my logic, too! Like he was giving some shout-out to the "They Took a Vote and Said No" ending, or something. Listening to it again, though, I don't hear the 't' sound so it probably is 'fall.' Glad someone had the same theory, though!

heh, i never made that link, that does sound like something krug would do, in my mind it was always "fall" .....i guess because it just suits this part of the song, especially with the intensity he puts into those couple of lines.

I assure you all, it is, "I still find reasons to POUT". See: Stadiums and Shrines (the original, not II) The line is left out of Stadiums and Shrines II from the CD. He just threw in a line from his original recording of the song. I am 100% positive.
