The Greek government is assuring tourists planning to visit the island of Crete that they have nothing to fear from violent organized criminals operating in a central mountain range.
A campaign has begun to restore law and order around the village of Zoniana where gangsters used machine guns to protect a multi million dollar empire built on drugs and arms dealing and defrauding the European Union.

| 180 million Euros for olives given??? To Zoniana or Crete as a whole??? You should have looked harder... There are over three million Olive trees on the island... Zoniana is olny a small village - No one will give them 180 million Euro. Authorities have always wanted to impose Gun regulations on Crete... Shooting a cop was only a good excuse to take action...
