i have flown to skiathos twice, its pretty scary, when i last went in was 2000 and 757's didnt fly there then i went on a air 2000 a321 and that was big enough!

WOW! Insanely close to the houses. S:t Marteen and Skiathos; Scariest runways on earth? Of course - we're not talking about safety here as European and Greek aviation authorities wouldn't allow air-traffic if the location would impose any danger to passengers and inhabitats.

you know the other airport ive heard that i even more dangerous than this two is toncontin which is in tegucigalpa, honduras very nice place by the way i mean the airport toncontin has been recently remodeled and has recently made its runway bigger but the thing is that since the airport is surrounded by mountains just to make the airport runway 2 meters bigger it cost 2 million ridicolous i know but some how the runway has to get bigger.

I flew into BLK last winter from Girona (not the flight on my area as that flight was only 60% full) but the thrid time I went during the winter, the return flight was full - not a spare seat and the runway was 'wet...wet...wet.'
WOW! Those 737-800 brakes do exactly what it says on the tin! Was like a rollercoaster ride. Not as fun as London City though!

Dude,this is not one of the shortest runways in the world. Aerolineas Argentinas lands 737-200s in 4410 ft runways. Still a nice landing

yh ive been before and when the plane turns to get inline with the runway it looks like the wing is goin to touch the water then wen it lands it brakes hard n fast and throws u forward

"Landing on one of the shortest runways in the world." Do you know that by fact? ;) It's by FAR not the shortest. No offence, but I can see you're scary landing there, considering the dangers Skiathos provides. It's 5,341 ft and at 54 ft/16 m AMSL.
