Im not a Catholic, and im not trying to be mean, but the Roman Catholic Church along with the Eastern Orthodox Church, for centuries has claimed to be the 1 true Christian Church, just because they were the first from among the ancient churches. This isn't anything new, he was simply "Re-affirming" what the Catholics believe (like any other religion or denomination) though I disagree and think its false what he said but the media and people blow it out of porportion as if its something new.

Stop being idolaters (1 John 5:21) and stop listening to doctrines of men that overturn the commandments of God (Matthew 15:9, Mark 7:7, 8, 13), and come out of her so that you do not share in her sins and receive her plagues (Rev 18:4)! You have a duty to work out your own salvation (Philippians 2:12) and not just trust a church packed with very worldly, very powerful, very rich, men.

I am not a supporter of the Catholic church; I believe it is a thoroughly corrupt institution that falsely claims to represent Jesus Christ. I do think there are people who truly love Jesus in the ranks of the catholic church, but the time has come for them to pray, read the Word of God, and be faithful to Him.

Where does the Bible or God say that "all paths lead to God or salvation?" Jesus is the only way. Jesus Himself said His teachings would bring separation. In the end there will be only two groups of people, saved and non-saved - does that not sound like separation? Yes God loves all His created beings, but unfortunately NOT all will choose to be saved, not all will chose Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, and even those who say they do will not trully follow Christ in His ways.

I believe the Bible says there is but one path to God, and that is through Christ Jesus.
So what does it mean to be a Christian? It means we abide in the doctrines of Jesus Christ and the true Gospel of salvation as outlined in Holy Scripture. The popes or Rome have denied this Gospel. Their way of salvation is based on a sacramental system of good works. Catholics are directed to loo

OMG! The insanity... of these comments! I'm not saying every path leads to God, because certain paths deliberately deny Him. But there's good and bad in every religion and spirituality, so some people will reach God despite their particular beliefs. I think it's a matter of timing. In the end everyone will return to God.

I"m sorry that Martin Luther modified the bible only to his liking yet clearly states in his catechism that he still beilives in the Eucharist, then stupid, low IQ protestant followers try to critizie the Eucharist & the church when there's proof that they share a common beilief in it. But then again, why 33,000+ "Pro-test-ant" denominations? that's not showing any form of being united.

Its not that there are many paths. There is only one way, but it can be found through many religions. I believe the one way is described in the Qur'an and in the Bible (among other texts, I choose these because I am muslim). One should love God with all of our being, seeking to grow closer to God and obey God's will. And second, love another only for the love of God. In other words, love your brother greater than yourself, not for the love of your brother but because of the love of God.

What this guy speaks of is an christian heresy. The pope cannot renounce his statement. To do so would be to go against 2,000 years of Christians who died for Christs church! Why did they die? all they had to do was accept the roman god? just another path to salvation Right? Christ founded one church, with Christ as the cornerstone, Peter as the foundation, and the apostles as the pillers of his church. The pope did not say that salvation comes from only the catholic church, just it is true.

We all know that post-Christian, so called 'Progressive' countries are in demographic meltdown. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Secular humanisn is a failure.
