Class B and C are the old designations. They now use the DOT code 1.4 for "C" and 1.3 for "B"

yes there is!!!class a is refured to as 1.1.such as plastic explosives.i saw a mag with class b over loaded.the weight is how it is deturmened.i cant spell!!!!!!

The 1.1 ("Class A" I guess) classification contains things like blasting agents and military explosives...NOT fireworks. The details of what falls under the 1.1 category are in the ATF orange book, but fireworks are not one of them. Display fireworks are defined under a very specific category/ subcategory by the ATF, which is 1.3g (used to be called "Class B").
