Iran has two names just how England is known as Britain and England, England was the name of the country and Britain was the empire itself,they are the name of the same country. Iran comes from Aria the name of the tribe that the Iranians come from. Iran has been known as iran since the beggining of the persian empire. Persia is what Greeks called Iran. Until 1932 Iran was addressed as Persia, but then the king officialy changed the name to Iran. SO persia and iran are the same thing

Actually when you say Iran and Iraq in Persian or Arabic they are not written similiarly at all, in English they are written like that so it is easier to prounounce in english.

yes thats true.. but iraq = arraagh= very old(mesopothamia).. if pronaunsed arag= alcohol =P LOL hehe.. iraqis are mix of persians,ashurys,arabs,summerians.. but persia is the father of all civilazation! jiroft in iran is 7000y old.. found in the year 2000-2001 they didnt know what it was..year 2005 they understud that its where the summerians(cradleofcivil)got all there stuff from..sumerians and ashury are semites like arabs..but why did they speak aryan languages like farsi.answer= jiroft iran

As Susa Anshan... and they were much more! by nummber.. than the Persian Tribe of Parsa! so by Violence+Assimilation Elamites became Persianized! that is why today's Persian is so different from Kurdish while all the originaly Arian words are 100% the same in Kurdish! bash=bash sew=seb Aftaw=aftab gul=gul/gol, nigar=negar.... ten of thousends words are the same.
