I am intrigued by "have you ever chanted something where u truly layed aside all earthly cares?"
I know the scales in Westrn Music but do not know the sounds of the Plagal Tone, whether first, or second or third, for that matter. They are so beautiful. I love the sound but have never encountered it before. In the Western system, the third tone, mi, is lowered by half a step and the sixth,
la, is raised half a step. Would anyone be so kind as to explain theses scales of the Plagal Tones to me? Please.
