xcuse me if i'm square, but is there a connect between GTA4 and this cut/terry riley? I know they got better tunes for #4, but if this is on there, God Damn, boss! Makes me want to go run over a bunch of muhphukaz on the sidewalk and blast people in the face with the shotie. All the while being at one with it through the anhilating of the sense of diversity music of terry riley.

Yes it does! When I first played GTA4 with a friend of mine, I could hardly believe it! Terry Riley is awesome, but I think he's not very well known, though he could be referred as THE inventor of minimal music. [Of course this has nothing to do with a lot of the bullshit called 'minimal techno' etc. (not everything but most is... let's say clutter).]

I did the same & still have the vinyl. As you suggest, it's really quite lovely, with or without drugs (or the very '60s light show that accompanies this video.) This is just a bit of a piece Reilly composed that spans an entire disk. He's still around - had a concert a few days ago (Nov '08) in NYC with a bunch of fellow travelers. This was awesome. Found it randomly while searching for the site that Animalll2003lll linked, which I saw the same message on another video, which I was looking at because I was reading about The Velvet Underground and John Cale and how he worked with La Monte Young at one point.
