You are right about everything but capitalist imperialism. I would offer that so-called imperialism is an unintended or intended government/nationalistic response to capitalism. In its true form capitalism is not coercive, it involves the free choice of the individual. That can hardly be said for socialism which is 100% coercive and disregards individual liberty in favor of collective equality.

He really seemed to charm Barbara Walters, to the point that anyone who saw this interview would have to look upon him favorably. he really knows how to use the media well. I have been critical of him, wondering if he is for real. Only the years after he leaves power will we know. But you have to hand it to him, he has charisma,and knows how to turn on the charm.

Well, Marx was right. The capitalist class will do anything, including violence, to keep the status quo. You only have to look at 9/11 as an example. By 9/11, i mean the Chilian 9/11 when big corporations, along with US imperialism, facilitated the murder of the democratically elected socialist president Allende. Marx's has never encourage genocide but said that the proletarian will have to defend themselves against this violence.

Serious human evolution? You are right, Communism is inevitable. Democracy will lead to Socialism. What is needed tho is the self emancipation of the working class. They realize their chains first before this can happen. Again, you have to remember that Marx distingueshes between personal properties and private ownership of MOP. When Marx said "the abolishment of private property", he was refering to the private ownership of the MOP.

All those "insticts" you have mentioned comes from our social existance, it comes from the environment we live in. Karl Marx couldnt have put it any better, "It is not the conciousness of man that determines their existance, but their social existance that determines their conciousness." The idea is that if you can change ones social existance, you will inevitably change the way he/she thinks. We become greedy because the thing we desire is scarce.

Yes it does. If the people who are being exploited do so volitionally. The so-called "exploitation Marx and you describe are contracts which people willingly enter into. This is nothing compared to the exploitation inherent in a coercive majoritarian dictatorship.

You see in black and white. Its a balance between using the advances and innovations that capitalism provides w/ ensuring equal protection under the law and social well-being for the citizenry. Its a balance between the freedom of the individual and collective success (socialist style policies which assure equal protection). As I have explained there are some freedoms which people possess individually which the citizenry may never revoke and there are some decisions we must make together.

Well, there we go ladies and gentlemen. Here we have a person who believes, in this day and age, in the exploitation of others.
