I believe Cyrus is mentioned in the Holy Quran on Sura 18.83 as Dhul-Qarnayn. The Quranic description of Dhul-Qarnayn's east and west empire matches Cyrus. And in the Quran, Dhul-Qarnayn was a God-fearing person.

The Quran Sura 18:84 to 86 states that Dhul Qarnayn followed a course till he reach the setting of the sun and found it set in the murky water (or black sea). If you read Cyrus-the-Great empire, it stretches west to Asia Minor (Turkey)which is at Black Sea. Sura 18:89 to 90 then states that Dhul Qarnayn followed another course to a desert area. Cyrus' east empire also is up to the desert area Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
