Well, technically I already am due to lack of seniors and juniors, but I'll go with that xD
And yeah, I've been running a lot more enthusiastically lately. I ran my school's cross country course and felt great o_0 I'm really looking forward to cross country this year since I actually know what I'm doing now xD

I'm currently about 4 months away from being 16 and my best 5k was around 17:49, but that time was from 9 months ago so I'm not really sure what my time is going to be this year :3

thats good im 14 freshmen and ran a 18:26 in my first 5k 1 month ago but wolnt be on varsity our team is 5th in the state and all the varsity runs under 17:00

Nice. That's actually a really good time. I bet you anything you'll get under 18 easily. My first 5k was 19:45 but I ran a bad race. I got around low 5 for my first split because I had no idea how to run the race xP
And our varsity consist of only 3 people this year, which includes me, so we don't expect to be that great.

Why is it that everytime I try to watch a running video I have to listen to these little bastards saying how good they WILL be? And everyone has an exuse why they didn't run faster. Am I the only one willing to admit that I am just avg. at best?

In my opinion it's fun to compare times, especially when someone's times are faster than mine. It fuels me to train harder. And where did the running excuses come from? I don't find that relating to the topic at hand at all @_@

when i was a freshman i ran 18:07 and now I can run in the low 16s. If you work harder than i did( don't take long breaks in the winter and summer ) then you can be really good by the time you are a senior.
